Why We Chose a "Choose Your Own Adventure" Experience

The Distinguished Gentleman's Drive is more than a drive—it's a global celebration of classic motoring, timeless style, and a shared commitment to improving men's health through Movember. We love everything DGD represents and are proud to support its mission in our community.

Our local automotive community is incredibly diverse, bringing together enthusiasts of classic cars, modern sports cars, muscle cars, imports, trucks, Jeeps, motorcycles, custom builds, and everything in between. While not every vehicle qualifies for the official Distinguished Gentleman's Drive, every enthusiast shares a passion for the open road, community, and giving back.

That's why our committee created the Choose Your Own Adventure Drive & Car Show—an event designed to complement the Distinguished Gentleman's Drive by giving everyone a place to belong. DGD participants can enjoy the official drive while others choose one of our scenic Niagara routes before everyone comes together at Reif Estate Winery to celebrate a great cause.

This day isn't just about the vehicles—it's about the people who enjoy them. Bring your spouse, partner, children, grandchildren, friends, and even your four-legged co-pilot. With scenic drives, a car show, local vendors, live entertainment, family-friendly activities, and carefully selected destinations showcasing some of Niagara's incredible businesses and partners, there's something for everyone.

We believe cars have a unique way of bringing people together across generations. Whether you're behind the wheel, riding shotgun, or simply admiring the incredible vehicles on display, we invite you to dress dapper, make memories, and celebrate community while supporting men's health through Movember.

Meet your Choose Your Own Adventure Drive and CarShow Committee & DGD (The Distinguished Gentleman's Drive) Hosts

Kyle (@milesandmechanica) has been proudly supporting Movember for years through both the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride and the Distinguished Gentleman's Drive. A passionate automotive enthusiast, he loves bringing people together to enjoy great vehicles while making a difference for men's health.

Stephen "Coop" (@coopaaloopa), Founder of HBFirst Initiatives, believes in creating events that connect people and support meaningful causes. Through the "Choose Your Own Adventure" experience, Coop is excited to welcome enthusiasts of all vehicles to join in supporting Movember Canada and enjoying a memorable day on the road.

Klaus Reif, owner of Reif Estate Winery and an avid automotive enthusiast, is pleased to host the event's destination and car show. Combining his passion for Niagara hospitality and classic cars, Klaus is excited to welcome participants for an afternoon of community, exceptional scenery, and support for Movember Canada.

OPTION 1 – The Full Route | The Distinguished Gentleman's Drive Experience

Start your morning with coffee and conversation at our Hamilton start at Sunshine Donuts, a local favourite built around handcrafted doughnuts, community and the belief that good things take time. Since opening in 2016, Sunshine has created a welcoming place where people come together to enjoy great food and good company. before setting off on a carefully curated driving route designed to celebrate the joy of the open road. Enjoy scenic highways and winding backroads that pay tribute to Southern Ontario's rich motoring history as your classic (or qualifying) vehicle was meant to be driven.

Our first destination is Bench Brewing Company, nestled in the heart of the Niagara Benchlands at the base of the world-renowned Niagara Escarpment. Housed in a beautifully restored century-old schoolhouse surrounded by orchards and vineyards, Bench is the perfect place to stretch your legs, grab a refreshment (including excellent non-alcoholic options), and connect with fellow participants before the next leg of the adventure.

From there, we'll continue along some of Niagara's most enjoyable driving roads before arriving at Reif Estate Winery. Established by the Reif family, whose winemaking roots date back more than 400 years in Germany, Reif Estate was among the pioneering wineries that helped shape Niagara into one of Canada's premier wine regions.

OPTION 2A – Bench Brewery to Reif Estate Winery (Classic)

Classic Cruising – Slow & Steady

Prefer to skip the Hamilton departure? Join us at Bench Brewing Company where you'll meet the main group before setting off on the second half of the adventure.

After a short break to refresh and mingle, we'll cruise some of Niagara's most scenic and enjoyable roads toward Reif Estate Winery.

Founded by the Reif family—whose winemaking heritage spans over four centuries—Reif Estate has become one of Niagara's most respected wineries and provides the perfect backdrop to finish an unforgettable day.

OPTION 2B – Niagara Motor Enthusiasts Route (Cars>Therapy)

Cars > Therapy

Niagara Motor Enthusiasts believes that Cars > Therapy, and they've created a route specifically for drivers who simply love getting behind the wheel.

Whether your vehicle isn't eligible for the Distinguished Gentleman's Drive or you just want a more spirited driving experience, this route is designed by local enthusiasts who know Niagara's best driving roads.

After enjoying an unforgettable cruise through the region, everyone will reunite at Reif Estate Winery for:

This option is perfect for modern performance cars, muscle cars, imports, exotics, motorcycles, and anyone who believes the drive is just as important as the destination.

Can't make the drive? We'd still love to have you join us.

Simply make your own way to Reif Estate Winery and enjoy the afternoon celebration alongside all of the arriving vehicles.
